Otago Handball is a member of the New Zealand Handball Federation (NZHF).
Otago Handball is the regional hub for handball in the Lower South Island, bringing together indoor, beach, and school handball under one proud community.
We welcome players of all ages and abilities, so whether you’re brand new to the game or a seasoned competitor, there’s a place for you here!
From schools leagues to beach tournaments and indoor seasons, we’re all about connection, development, and having a great time on and off the court.

what we have to offer
Indoor handball runs over the Autumn/Winter months. If you love handball as much as us, you can train with the travelling Otago teams, as they gear up to travel around Aotearoa.
Our beach handball run over the Spring/Summer months. Practicing weekly at Tomahawk Beach & getting geared up to travel around Aotearoa & internationally.
Running in Terms one and four, our Schools League is a fun, school-based competition that invites players of all ages and experience levels to give handball a go.
